Broader Thread Forms and Coolant-Optimized Designs Across Multiple Applications

 

  YG-1 has expanded its solid carbide thread mill lineup for the European market, introducing a broader range of thread forms, coolant configurations, and miniature solutions to meet increasingly diverse application demands. The expanded portfolio covers metric, pipe, and unified thread standards, along with miniature thread mills for medical and dental machining applications.

Compared with conventional tapping, YG-1’s thread mills offer greater versatility by enabling multiple thread sizes, directions, and fit classes with a single tool, while maintaining stable performance across a wide range of materials and machine capabilities. To provide a one-stop solution for niche and specialized markets, the expanded lineup consists of 7 series and a total of 64 newly added standard items. This market-driven expansion is expected to reinforce YG-1’s competitiveness and responsiveness to the specific needs of the European machining industry.

The addition of metric thread mills with a 2.5×D cutting length without internal coolant enhances competitiveness by ensuring stable performance in applications requiring specific tool dimensions and machine compatibility. The introduction of BSP (G), Rc (BSPT), and NPT pipe thread mills without internal coolant was strategically planned in response to the widespread use of machining centers that lack internal coolant supply, particularly in general industrial environments. Furthermore, the addition of UNC and UNF thread mills with a 2×D cutting length and axial internal coolant addresses common aerospace and US-standard requirements, offering an effective solution for heat evacuation and stable thread machining in superalloy materials.

This expansion reflects direct customer feedback and strengthens YG-1’s thread milling portfolio by covering a broader size range and application spectrum, enabling a more optimized product offering for the thread milling market.
