Introducing CVD Turning Grade, YG2035 for Stainless Steel

Newly Introducing CVD Turning Grade, YG2035 for Stainless Steel

YG-1’s Next-Generation CVD Turning Grade for Stainless Steel

YG-1 has introduced YG2035, a new turning grade engineered for demanding stainless steel applications. Designed for stable performance in low cutting speeds and interrupted cutting, YG2035 leverages advanced CVD coating and substrate technologies to ensure consistent tool life.

The grade features a next-generation CVD coating that delivers reliable performance even on scale parts and during heavy interrupted cuts. Its newly developed substrate, produced through a specialized sintering process, offers excellent wear resistance and mechanical stress stability, significantly improving chipping resistance. YG2035 also applies an innovative post-treatment that minimizes built-up edge and further enhances chipping resistance.

The lineup includes negative inserts with MF, MG, and MR chip breakers, and positive inserts with MF and MM chip breakers, optimized for reliable chip control across various stainless steels.

To expand versatility, YG-1 has added a new GM chip breaker to the YG2035 lineup. Designed for medium turning, the GM chip breaker provides improved chip control and a broader machining range in stainless steel operations.
