YG-1 Expands HSS-PM Prime Tap Lineup for Long-Reach and Complex Threading in the American Market

Enhanced Performance Through Internal Coolant and Extended Reach

  YG-1 has expanded its HSS-PM Prime Tap lineup with the introduction of internal coolant types for spiral flute and spiral point taps, along with extended length taps designed to address the growing demand for long-reach 

and complex threading applications across various industries in the American market. 

The addition of internal coolant types in spiral flute and spiral point taps supports effective chip evacuation and improves process stability, particularly in demanding threading environments where chip control and heat management are critical.

In parallel, the newly introduced extended length taps are specifically engineered to overcome common limitations associated with tool overhang and spindle or chuck interference, enabling stable threading even in complex

component structures and multi-level geometries. Building on the proven performance of the Prime Tap line, the new lineup enhances process reliability in applications where standard tap lengths are insufficient.

The product range has been streamlined into 114 key sizes, enabling efficient coverage of essential threading requirements in the American market. The lineup includes a full range of UNC/UNF sizes from #4 to 1', as well as metric

sizes from M3 to M24, focusing on widely used, high-volume thread standards. This expansion is particularly suited for CNC machining environments that require extended tool reach, including automotive component production,

die and mold manufacturing, and general precision engineering.
