YG-1 Releases Updated Indexable Inserts Inch 2026 Catalog

New and Expanded Milling Concepts, PCBN Turning Insets, Grades and Chip Breakers Have Been Added

  YG-1 has released its updated Indexable Inserts Inch 2026 Catalog, introducing 1,823 new items designed to address a wide range of machining applications. The catalog features new milling concepts, PCBN turning inserts, advanced grades, and expanded chip breaker offerings to meet increasingly demanding manufacturing requirements.

Key updates in the 2026 catalog include the following:

1. Turning

- YG3125 Grade: An advanced CVD turning grade engineered for high cutting speeds and extended tool life in steel applications.

- YG2035 Grade: A new CVD turning grade optimized for low cutting speeds and interrupted cutting conditions in stainless steel.

- YG1020 Grade: A new CVD turning grade developed for machining various ductile cast irons.

- YT100G Grade: A new PVD cermet turning grade delivering excellent surface finish and outstanding wear resistance.

- YG411 Grade: A new PVD carbide turning grade optimized for machining heat-resistant super alloys (HRSA), offering excellent resistance to plastic deformation.

- PCBN Inserts: YG-1’s newly introduced PCBN turning inserts, optimized for hardened steel and cast-iron applications.

- GM chip breaker: Wide chip control range in medium applications of steel and stainless steel.

2. Parting & Grooving

- Expanded Parting & Turn-Groove Insert Sizes: New parting and turn-groove insert widths. 5mm, 6mm and 8 mm have been added to support more demanding machining requirements.

3. Milling

- YG SM6 MILL WNEX: True 90° negative 6-corner shoulder milling inserts are now expanded to include the 04 size.

- YG SM3 MILL TPKT: True 90° positive 3-corner shoulder milling inserts are now expanded to include the 07 size.

- YG TM4 MILL LNKU: A new 4-corner tangential 90° shoulder milling insert with a tangentially mounted insert for various milling applications.

- YG904 Grade: A new PVD milling grade optimized for machining HRSA and other difficult-to-cut materials.

- YG614 Grade: A new PVD milling grade for stainless steel applications, offering excellent chipping resistance under wet cutting conditions.

4. Drilling

- X-Drill (SYMX): YG-1’s new X-Drill captive drill fully utilizes all four insert corners and uses a single insert for both center and peripheral positions. The holder size range has been expanded up to 2'.
