YG-1 has expanded TitaNox-Power HPC 5 Flute to metric sizes. This new 5 flute with a new core design and an advanced coating enables for tackling both a heavier side cutting and slotting result in higher productivity and longer tool life.  

Product Features

Core Design: The new double taper core design improves chip load capacity during heavy cuts, maintains rigidity in peel milling, and enables 0.5xD slotting in ISO-S materials.

Geometry: Full eccentric grind relief and unequal index provides for higher cutting-edge strength and chatter-free machining while also improving tool life.

YG-1 Coating Technology: The advanced AlTiN coating provides improved wear resistance, especially in nickel-based alloys.

Applicable Industries

Ideal for use in aerospace and defense industries, where machining of titanium and stainless-steel alloys is expected to increase. In addition to aerospace and defense, applications can be found in food processing, chemical, offshore, and nuclear energy generation.

New Product Line Summary

- 92 standard metric sizes stocked, from Ø6mm to Ø25mm.

- Regular length with precision round h5 shanks (below 12mm shank), including Weldon shanks.

- Corner chamfer and corner radius styles are standard.
